1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by Summitym (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website, web application, browser extensions, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Scope of Services

The Services may include:

  • Resume creation and editing tools
  • AI-powered resume optimization and job matching
  • Job tracking and application management
  • Job saving via browser extensions

4. Account Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • Information provided must be accurate and up to date
  • You may not share your account with others
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all resumes, profile data, and other content you submit (“User Content”).

By using the Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services.

6. AI Features Disclaimer

  • AI-generated content is provided for assistance only
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, suitability, or outcomes
  • AI features do not constitute legal, HR, or career advice

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes
  • Upload false, misleading, or infringing content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or abuse the platform
  • Interfere with system security or performance

8. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Paid features require an active subscription
  • Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable
  • Payment processing is handled by third-party providers
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.

10. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, design, text, and branding, are owned by Summitym and protected by intellectual property laws.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Summitym shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Refund Policy and Plan Changes

All subscription fees and payments for the Services are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time, but cancellation will only prevent future charges. You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Plan Changes

  • Downgrades. If you downgrade your subscription plan, the unused portion of your current billing period will be converted into a prorated account credit based on the time remaining on your current plan. This credit will be automatically applied to future subscription charges and has no cash value.
  • Upgrades. If you upgrade your subscription plan during a billing period, you will be charged a prorated amount for the upgrade based on the price difference between the plans and the time remaining in your current billing period. Any unused value from your current plan will be credited before the upgrade charge is applied, so you are only charged the net prorated amount.

No Refunds For

  • Failure to use the Services
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content or recommendations
  • Changes in personal circumstances or job search outcomes
  • Accidental purchases or forgotten cancellations

If you believe you were charged in error, or if a technical issue caused an incorrect charge, please contact us at support@summitym.com within 7 days of the charge and we will review the issue.

Refunds, when required by law or approved by us at our sole discretion, will be processed using the original payment method and may take several business days to appear depending on your payment provider.

This Refund Policy and Plan Changes section is part of and incorporated into these Terms of Service.
